Welcome to the Universal Design for Learning Lab (UDLab), an assistive technology model classroom located in the Bagwell Education Building Room 217. The purpose of the Universal Design for Learning Lab (UDLab) is to assist Kennesaw State University (KSU) in fulfilling its commitment to provide equal access to curriculum and instruction for diverse learners across the preschool-college-career trajectory.
The UDLab blends technology with the philosophies of Universal Design for Learning, which is a scientific-based framework that guides the development of flexible learning environments that can accommodate individual learning styles. Universal Design for Learning addresses the "what, "how", and "why" of learning and facilitates curriculum content to be presented in different ways.
Our goal is for every teacher candidate who graduates from KSU to be knowledgeable about Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology (QIAT) and how emerging, innovative, and assistive technologies help prepare ALL students, particularly English Learners and/or students with disabilities.
